People choose quickbooks because it is user friendly, I'm finding that is not the case at this point and I have been using it for over 20 years!
This is absolutely ridiculous that I have spent more time searching for answers this entire week than I have working! Each answer leads to another question. THe copy and paste feature does not work for CofA and when you copy and past contacts in column by column if there are blank entries in the excel spreadsheet such as an email missing for one of the contacts, it doesn't copy the blank to and moves the emails up a line to the wrong contact to fill the blank space. Its as if QB is trying to strong arm me into staying with the $150.00 a month online and honestly not having all the capabilities in both platforms is making me want to find a new accounting program all together. IIF file which you can't even create from quickbooks online is ridiculous. THe fact that I have been waiting 4 days now for QB support to transfer the data for me and they have yet to even begin is ridiculous and the fact that when you come to the community or the support pages you run into yet another issue where they now are saying needs. Desktop and online should mimic each other. A person that chooses quickbooks should not lose any options when switching from one to the other. THe over priced online does not have some of the capabilities that desktop does and the desktop doesn't have some of the features that online does. Its like you win some and lose some regardless of what version you use. I am trying to switch from online to desktop. That's it!
